Friday, my mother and I had a neat "field trip" of sorts. She and I are learning Russian Kettle Bells exercise routines at a neat gym in our area. Right before we left, the instructor casually said he was filming his Christmas film later that day. As our family is interested in film making (maybe even of this sort ;-), we decided to check it out. Of course we thought he had invited a bunch of people. We arrived there and it was the instructor, his girlfriend, two filming people and ... us. So we offered to help. Turns out, they were HORRIBLY understaffed. We helped set up ... direct people AWAY from the cameras, keep the background clear of tourists and a bunch of other little things that helped out.
